Popularity and Sales are irrelevant to me

I don't know about you guys but... Why would we as gamers want an "entertainment platform" when it has no games, and the ones it does have we can get on other platforms?
I will never understand Microsoft's nescesity to clutter the xbox with so much useless garbage that in the end only makes people pay more money, extra investment for useless features...
Now i will admit that i have used the sales argument before, but it was to show when something was relevant to the discussion (Like when someone claims a game is dead because "no one " bought it), i would never use the sales argument as a point to proove that a game is better than other
