Portrait Painting Walkthrough | Subtle Grays, Following Process
4This painting was done for a colleague of mine who is releasing an album later this year - this portrait might end up as the album cover! He's a talented guitarist, and I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more (I'll link the album once it comes out). This video features a relatively quick walkthrough of this painting, which is my 239th total oil painting. The conversation centers around trying to successfully use subtle gray differences, and trying to stick to my standard process of working large to small/broad to detailed.
