The latest patch for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 added the Torna DLC & fixed a quest bug but it may have introduced a new bug in the process...

Haze was both invisible in cutscenes, and in the world where only her staff could be seen. This bug does not seem to affect cutscenes when viewing them in the event theatre.
