Post GDC walk in San Francisco
15Another GDC for the books!
Whenever I attend GDC, I wrap up my stay in San Francisco with a long walk through the city. I’ve been blessed by yearly beautiful post-conference Friday afternoons, and today’s 3 hour excursion was no exception. Every year I tuck my GDC badge under my t shirt and run to the ultra swanky Nob Hill, going as high up as I can, and let gravity and intuition guide me back down.
With different things all converging at once - reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, getting inspired by my peers, putting miles under my feet, listening to music, the incredible feeling of relief that everything went beyond my expectations…
…right there and then I experienced a few hours of total bliss, surrendering to the realization that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
Oh, and last but not least, “Honor of Kings”, a game I contributed music to, won the G.A.N.G. for best audio in the social game category.
