During an attempted run of the NES version of the game "P.O.W.: Prisoners of War", the second boss of the game attacks with either a gun or a grenade, both of which are instant death (though there is a bulletproof vest powerup available). This is focusing on the grenade in particular. When you respawn, you have no temporary invincibility whatsoever meaning if the boss happens to throw another one just as you're about to get up, expect another life lost.
