The recent patch has radically altered warrior's use of banners, so a new setup is needed to maximize the effectiveness of the buffed Furious Burst trait. As a result of this, the typical greatsword axe/axe setup for Power Banner Warriors has been replaced by the superior sword/sword. Make sure you utilise Riposte in your rotation especially against hard hitting bosses like Deimos and Xera.

There is some debate amongst the Warrior Community™ about whether to take Rampage as your elite over Mistfire Wolf. I personally prefer Rampage as it offers a greater DPS boost for power players rather than the condition damage Mistfire Wolf provides. Human players should always opt for Prayer to Dwayna over any other healing skill to show faith to the Goddess and immerse yourself in the world of Tyria. Its 30 second cooldown gives you time to reflect on her greatness between heals.

Moving your banners is key to getting the maximum effectiveness from this build. While picking up a banner offers no skills and doesn’t actually do anything, it does look cool and will inspire your team mates psychologically. Making them thankful they too are not playing Warrior.
