Gutierrez says the sector's main concern regarding the tariff hike imposed by the United States on Brazil is the possibility of cross-retaliation by the Brazilian government. He believes this could increase the cost of essential services, hinder investments, and even negatively impact the public sector itself, which is one of the largest consumers of technology in Brazil. And the vast majority of these systems are of North American origin.
