Power Punching 2D Action Platformer, a 2023 Great | Gravity Circuit Review
18The influence the game draws from Mega Man, especially Mega Man X, is unmistakable. From the 8 bosses that must be defeated, to the visual and technical design of levels, Gravity Circuit feels like a spiritual successor to the franchise--and nails nearly everything. The music composed by Dominic Ninmark is driving, capturing the era of the NES and SNES, it's excellent. Kai may not have an arm cannon, attacking using melee strikes, a grappling hook, and special moves called burst attacks--fulfilling the role of the boss abilities of Capcom's franchise. These aspects and more are explored in the review.
