The new PowerMat Wireless Charging System for iPhone ($69.99) is an update to PowerMat's iPhone offering. The solution is essentially a lower cost system for the company's inductive charging products. The $70 mat and iPhone case costs half the price of PowerMat's previous solution, which involved buying a $100 mat and $40 iPhone case separately. The iPhone case is for the iPhone 3G and 3GS and is unchanged from our previous review. (Review: PowerMat Wireless Charging System)

What is new is the 1XA mat. It is a single docking station rather than the three device station of the full mats. Also the 1XA features a recessed slot to accommodate the case for more stable resting. PowerMat has two new iPhone cases still in the works for 2010. We expect to see them for the next generation iPhone later this year.
