This is a continuation of sorts for my latest video on Serial Encoders and Decoders. Being able to make encoders and decoders is great and all, but unless there is a use for them, then it's kind of pointless.

I call this video 'Practical Application' because it takes a concept and puts it to use.

In this, you'll find that the space taken up by these encoders and decoders is pretty massive for the amount of memory I used. But you have to keep in mind that as the scaling of memory gets larger, the amount of space the encoders and decoders use becomes much more viable. ie: I used ten lines for this video. It had 4 address bits and 4 data bits. If I were to double that and have 20 lines with 4 lines for data, I'd be able to utilize 16,384 bytes of memory. I used 16 in this video. In short, by doubling the space used for the encoders and decoders, I'd be able to use 1,024 times the amount of memory in this video. As you can imagine, it is a MUCH more efficient use of space that more standard methods.

But I'm pretty sure that Minecraft wouldn't be able to handle all that. haha. Hmm. Maybe I'll make another video and try it... :P
