Hi there, Liron here! Today’s a very important video…
I want to share with you a practice session I did, in regards to COLORS & SATURATION.
One of my BIGGEST weaknesses in watercolor painting is the ability to get the HUE and SATURATION correctly.
It’s the one thing I really want to improve.

In this video you see how I do this - by isolating the skill I’m interested in improving, and doing deliberate practice on it!

And this was definitely a success! On the one hand, I didn’t get the result I wanted. But on the other hand - I IMMEDIATELY LEARNED so much.

I took quite a lot of insights with me here:
- Start lighter and use pure hue
- Pay closer attention to the angle of paper, and the muted colors mixing into the purer colors.
- Remember SHAPES - stop the shape in the right place (to avoid unwanted layers showing through, like the yellow under the blue.
- Practice GLAZING thinner layers and seeing if the saturation is preserved / improved / ruined.

Enjoy! 😊🙏🏼
