Predator 2 slaughter house skirmish - Commodore Amiga game vs Danny Glover movie
Special Agent Peter Keyes (played by Gary Busey) and his DEA task force team orchestrate a sting operation in a local slaughterhouse to ensnare the Predator. Despite arriving equipped with thermally insulated suits and cryogenic weapons, things don't exactly go to plan. Remember kids, if Gary Busey has got your back, make sure you bring backup!
Arc Developments' licensed game (published in 1991, a year after the movie) is very similar to Tiertex's Die Hard 2 adaptation that followed a year later. It entirely plays out in shoot 'em up gallery style with no variation except in the graphics representing key scenes from the movie.
While Danny Glover and co. battle against a single Predator on the silver screen, the game features a constant stream of them, amassing hundreds of the blighters that would require the world's largest funeral pyre to dispose of. How much energy would that generate? You've got to think green these days. ;)
Nevermind. At the end of this level, we seamlessly transition into the final stage taking place on the Predators' spacecraft. I've covered the finale in another video.
