Descripción (ES): El Preludio y Fuga en Do mayor, BWV 846, es una composición de teclado escrita por Johann Sebastian Bach. Es el primer preludio y fuga en el primer libro de "El Clave bien temperado", una serie de 48 preludios y fugas del compositor. Una versión alternativa del preludio, BWV 846A, se encuentra en el Pequeño libro de Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.

El preludio es de 35 compases de duración y consiste principalmente de acordes rotos. El preludio continúa así con diferentes variaciones de la armonía, y el cambio de clave. El preludio termina con un solo acorde de Do mayor.

La fuga es de 27 compases de duración y está escrita para cuatro voces. Comienza con 2 compases con objeto principal de la voz de contralto. La voz de contralto se une a la soprano al final de la asignatura, que señala el comienzo de la respuesta en la clave dominante (sol mayor).

Description (EN): The Prelude and Fugue in C Major, BWV 846, is a keyboard composition written by Johann Sebastian Bach. It is the first prelude and fugue in the first book of The Well-Tempered Clavier, a series of 48 preludes and fugues by the composer. An alternative version of the prelude, BWV 846A, is found in the Klavierbüchlein für Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.

The prelude is 35 bars long and consists mostly of broken chords. The prelude continues like this with different variations on harmony, and change of key. The prelude ends with a single C major chord.

The fugue is 27 bars long and is written for four voices. It starts with a 2 measure subject in the alto voice. The alto voice is joined by the soprano at the end of the subject, which signals the beginning of the answer in the dominant key (G major).
