A few things to consider before you Prestige. Especially Permanent Unlock RESTRICTIONS for weapon variants. Don't find out the hard way! Check out this video for full details. Once you hit the max level in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare (level 50) you can choose to activate Prestige Mode. Your reward for doing this? You lose almost everything! So why would you? Well, there are some benefits. You get a new icon to indicate what level Prestige you’re at. You also unlock a new calling card and some gear. You one level closer to Prestige Master. But the biggest benefit is that you can carry over a single piece of gear to your next level of Prestige, so you won’t need to level up to get it again. You can do this with any perk, scorestreak, Exo Ability grenade or base weapon (variants excluded!!!). I recommend selecting an item that you’d generally unlock at a very high level, as permanently unlocking something that requires level 12 is a pretty serious waste. The armory, weapon camos, calling cards, and emblem icons will not be reset. There are 15 levels of Prestige, meaning players can reach Rank 50 16x giving a total of 800 Levels. Although there are 15 levels of Prestige, there are 16 Prestige rank icons. The 16th (called Prestige Master) is rewarded for reaching Prestige 15 Rank 50.
