Prey belongs to the Predator franchise, making it the fifth instalment and seventh in the overall Predator Universe. Dan Trachtenberg directed the movie, and Patrick Aison wrote the movie. The movie stars Dakota Beavers, Amber Midthunder, and Dane Diliegro, among others. The movie is essentially a prequel that occurs in a chronological sequence to the earlier movies. The movie is set in the Northern Great Plains in 1719. It follows the story of a young woman, Naru, who belongs to the Comanche tribe and is working hard to be taken seriously as a hunter until she figures she has to protect her people from an evil, dangerous alien who hunts humans for the kick of it.
