While we did a facehugger anatomy video a few years ago, it seems that Alien Earth is rewriting everything we know about the facehuggers, what’s inside them, what they are made up of, and how exactly the embryo functions. If you are watching this, I am assuming you are brave enough to face some of the juiciest spoilers from Alien Earth Episode 3. Now, it was always believed that facehuggers contained an embryo that went inside the host to gestate into a chestburster, but more recently a comic called Alien Cold Forge tried to canonise something called the Plagiarus praepotens, a black goo-like mutagenic substance which led to the creation of a chestburster inside a host. I mean, even alien fandoms got misled and started to believe that the embryo did not exist.
