Primal Rage tried to capitalize on the success of the recent violent fighting games in the market at that time. They incorporated a similar digitizing process as the Mortal Kombat games but used dinosaur models with stop-go video capture to record the movements. This was a very involved process, as an entire action sequence would have to be broken down into frame-by-frame movements of the model. The end effect was beautiful organic 3D looking dinosaurs battling one another.

Midway Arcade Treasures 2 is the second collection of classic arcade games published by Midway for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. This compilation includes 20 games that were not in the 2003 release of Midway Arcade Treasures or the 2005 release of Midway Arcade Treasures 3.
The game plays similar on all three consoles; however, the Xbox version has the exclusive ability to upload scores to an online scoreboard. The special features on each version of the game are the same. These include game histories, developer interviews, and other documents.
