Proficiency As Dice in DnD 5e: The Inverted Variant Rule - Does It Make a Better Game? (D&D)
Let's take a look at the proficiency as dice variant rule in 5e DnD (D&D, Dungeons & Dragons). As you might expect, if you have been following my previous videos, I am not a fan of moving to the proficiency dice variant rule because its purpose is to increase randomness. That is exactly the opposite of what I would like to do. But, if you INVERT the proficiency dice, I may have stumbled upon something interesting. Let's look.
