On March 11, 2015, Moon Studios released their labor of love, Ori and the Blind Forest, published by Microsoft Studios. It is a 2D platformer, where the player takes the role of Ori, a light entity living in an enchanted forest.
Controls are relatively simple: W, A, S, and D, with Space to jump. S + Space falls through a platform to a lower level. For some cliffs, holding A or S after jumping onto the side and continuing to release and hit Space again will let Ori climb. LMB is to attack, hold LMB charges an attack into an explosion, and RMB allows Ori (once far enough into the game) to use objects and projectiles to catapult him farther than he can normally jump. Double jumps, water breathing, health increases, and other skills are acquired either by discovery or by selection on a Skill tree.
Ori, having wandered far from home — the ancient Spirit of the Forest, held within three sacred trees that have all become corrupted over time — has been summoned to return and cleanse the evil from the forest so it can once again flourish. Many enemies, dangers, and threats confront him as he journeys. Will he save the forest, or will the forest decay into ruin? Let's stream Ori and the Blind Forest to see.
