_______________________________Instructions – Required Software_________________________________
All links are at the top or bottom of the description.
All software mentioned includes – 7-zip, AMD/Nvidia/Intel Graphics Drivers, C++, ROM file.
You can Google the download for a ROM if you choose the illegal route.
________________________________Instructions – Install Project 64__________________________________
A – Go to EmuCR.com
B – Click Nintendo 64 (On the right side, a little bit down the page)
C – Scroll down until you see a "Project 64 Git" link (May need to go to multiple pages to find it). Click on it.
D – Click on the "Download" link you want (If you use 64 bit, you can select x64. If you don't know, don't worry about it and just choose the x86 link).
E – Click any of these links to download (I personally use mega.co.nz – in which case, just choose "Download through your browser" after you click on the link).
F - Unzip the file anywhere you please. Wherever you unzip the file is your directory folder.
_____________________________Instructions – Setup & Run Project 64______________________________
A – Double click the "Project64" application to run it.
B – Go to "Options" in the upper left and select "Configure Controller Plugin" to set up your controls.
C – Click on a command. The next input you press will be bound to that command. (Example: Click "Up", Press "Up" on your controller's analog stick to bind it). Once you're done, click "Save".
D – Assuming you have your ROM ready, go up to File > Open ROM and select the ROM file of your game. Your game should have started.
_________________________________Instructions – Configuration____________________________________
Graphics
A - Options > Configure Graphics Plugin > Change Resolution (either windowed or full screen, depending on which you're going to use) to the highest option (Example: 1920x1080 is much higher and better looking than the default of 640x480 or 800x600).
B – If you're using full screen, make sure to change "Full Screen Sync" to "Triple Buffer vsync".
C – Move the "Anisotropic" and "Full-Scene Antialiasing" sliders to the very right. If you have performance issues (lag, stuttering, etc) you'll probably need to change "Full-Scene Antialiasing" back down because it's much more intensive than most options. Click Apply and OK.
D – Start up your game (File > Open ROM > Select Game). While the game's running, go to Options > Configure Graphics Plugin again. You can change aspect display (Stretching for example will stretch the image to have no black bars). Check "Super 2xSaI textures" and "Always use texture filter".
Other
A – File > Choose ROM Directory > select the folder that your game resides in. You'll be able to start up the game just from double clicking it within Project 64.
