Prequels, prequels, prequels...
Frequently a subject of controversies, there seem to be many that people would consider to be bad. So what exactly makes a prequel bad?
We're comparing the Star Wars prequels with Metal Gear Solid 3, trying to find what it is that makes a prequel good or bad.
Or more importantly- what makes one good? -so we can learn from them and create better stories for our favorite movies, games and TV shows.

Star Wars:

The prequel trilogy, released between 1999 and 2005, consists of:
Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
The prequel trilogy describes what had taken place over 32 years (I had mistakenly seen someone referring to it as 40 years, hence my comments made in this video) before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
