Project Apax (Demo Version) (2021, PC STEAM Gameplay 2021)
0Its a demo so I won't review it here but I will say some things about it as a demo , things that I felt and noticed. I do however appreciate how long it takes to make games.. that's a given but well..
0. The music is great.
1. The camera movement seems shaky when winning a battle, it wobbles.
2. The controls suck, as it is atm it means you HAVE to use keyboard and gamepad, because of the X, N, M, ENTER 'Fury' commands.
3. I'm NOT a fan of the graphics, it looks too weird and probably because the devs are using those shitty graphical add-on from UNITY to try and make their game look edgy and new.. i'd prefer to see the game without these visual overlay effects. What this effects are doing is making the game look bad.
4. Tree leaves in battles move like water.. wtf is up with that?
5. The battles are long and boring.. I mean.. 4/5 monsters at the start of a game? and that wolf/dog boss fight is to OP, that 'Bite' move does too much damage.
6. A bug/issue caused my main guy's ATB red bar thing to disappear and it did not return after, as evident in the video.
7. No Options Menu, especially to play the game in different resolutions, though this could be just cos it's a demo version.
I think that's about it for what I noticed for this demo playthrough, story seems okay.. if a little clichΓ©.. but then stories for Jrpgs have been done to death so something new without being similar to something else is VERY rare to find these days.
