Project Brutality 3.0 | (TNT.WAD) Beyond-the-Aether | Map #10: Eternal Punishment
"Designed by Daniel Wolfe "dwolfe13/WolfeBoy33", Beyond-The-Aether is a 10-map TNT.wad released in December 2020. The first half comprises of tech-based, sewer & underground levels, while the second half is set in Hell. This is version 1.8.
Map #10: Eternal Punishment is by far the most difficult level in this TNT.wad as well as the longest. This map throws everything at you, including the kitchen sink!
Originally, I sought this level to be impossible to complete via Rifle-Start UV-Max on Brutal Difficulty with Chaotic Random Spawns, no saves or deaths. However, through a lot of playtesting, developing strategies and learning the layout, I discovered that it is possible. ONLY if you have the right tools for the job!
The Demon Tech-Rifle is required for me to surpass the opening 2 fights/ambushes. For these two fight to spawn no armor can is very cruel.
Then comes the two weapons that are absolutely necessary for me to complete this map as a whole: First is the DMR Upgrade. Why? Snipers in massive open areas for PB 3.0 can annihilate you immediately. This weapon is my bread-&-butter throughout the entire level.
Next is the BFG-11K Prototype for the final fight against 8 Cyberdemons/Annihilators in a massive arena. Otherwise, I've not been able to find a way to beat the final fight.
Off-camera, I discovered there's one-broken kill: an Imp that doesn't wake up! It's where you get the Red Skull Key and all the enemies all teleport and spawn in. It's required to "noclip" through the area where it's set outside of the map, thus will wake the Imp up and teleport. So technically I did UV-Max this level.
Aside from IDCLEV10 to transfer to Map #10: Eternal Punishment, no cheats or saves were used in the recording of this video. Enjoy! "~ Romy
