This also is escapable if DIed correctly, especially the down throw chain grabs. The angle change and weight dependency may make it possible for ZSS to chain grab with down throw on lighter characters. So far I've only made this work on Sheik...
If not, then it helps set up a combo at both higher and lower percentages. The lighter the character, the easier it is to set up the combo. Fast fallers, though, will get tech chased. A floaty like Peach can easily get comboed from down throw. A heavy floaty like normal Samus is actually harder.
