Project Zomboid Survivors! Mod - This Is How Josh Clark Is With John! - New Map Gameplay
Welcome to my let's play series with the Project Zomboid: Survivors! Mod by Nolan Ritchie and Ddraigcymraeg. (at least that's their Steam name!)
I have quite a history with Project Zomboid. I bought the game back when there was only a tech demo of a small map cell available and we had, (the now famous... infamous?) Baldspot and his unfortunate wife in a very disturbing tutorial which ends with a pillow. One of the decisions the developers made early on was to remove the AI survivors from the game which although meant you could concentrate on the survival aspect of the game I feel it took away the randomness of interacting with other people within the world.
And then I discovered the Survivors! mod in a random Reddit thread.
It has completely changed the game for me. Every life is randomly generated after you have set up your character and they can be thrown into any of a mixture of starting locations. Do you have a wife or husband? Are you in charge a small group? Is all hell breaking use around you or are you in a secluded shack just out of town out of harms way? (For a while at least!)
In this episode I have to explain why we're stood where we're stood... and why there is only me and John in the group, but after that we're back to shooting and looting while I give you a catch up on what the hell has gone on!
-- ABOUT THE GAME --
Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie-infested sandbox. It asks one simple question – how will you die?
In the towns of Muldraugh and West Point, survivors must loot houses, build defences and do their utmost to delay their inevitable death day by day. No help is coming – their continued survival relies on their own cunning, luck and ability to evade a relentless horde.
