19The house in Muldraugh comes together with each shelf and piece of furniture looted from the remnants of what society swiftly becomes, a drab husk of it's former self. It's not even been a month and already the dread weighs on me like a anchor made of steel; heavy and pulling me down further into the depths of madness. There's an eerie quiet now, as if someone took to switching off civilization. I don't even hear much of mankind's efforts to fight back this nightmare, a scream here a gunshot there; systematically they too grow silent.
I tend to my garden, occupy my time with books and hobbies, enforcing practices now that suit to my survival. Constant vigilance makes time move unforgivingly slow; deliberate and desperate.
