Phase 3 is on its way! To ensure better stability the new features will be tested for a few weeks first on the computer. This open test is intended for mod creators, but the curious public can download it if they want. Note that it is not the official stable version. It's a version in preparation to replace it. It may contain bugs in other areas or different features that are not guaranteed to be included in the official release yet.
What changes in this version?
Phase 3 brings support for traffic lights, street lights (there are differences between PC and cell phone), objects that may or may not be in place, GPS... Eventually other things will be confirmed later. Some desired features may not be included in phase 3 because they are not stable enough. Even though it's a buggy BETA, we really appreciate the stability in Proton.
The motion blur effect is also under test, which blurs the movement on the sides, giving a greater immersion and sense of speed. It requires a more powerful GPU, it can consume several fps.
The Android version experiences for the first time real lights and streets wet in rain (this depends on the map region, not at all). The result will depend on cell phone to cell phone, it is not confirmed that this feature will work as it depends more on the engine and hardware than on the creator of the game. It is recommended to use 30fps, 75% resolution, ie the default settings. If you overdo it and mark the lights, it can weigh a lot. But as many people ask and apparently current top cell phones can run them, so let's see...
It has some other properties in Extras settings. Running the physics at 50Hz can give more realism when playing at 30fps, otherwise more optimized physics is used. Increasing the number of substeps can impact vehicle performance and behavior is an internal test of the system.
This version has a bug with the articulated stopped that can be moving if you have the handbrake on. No prediction of solution. Until the official release next year this is expected to be resolved.
