8Retroarch SwanStation w/GT1 60FPS patch and 300% overclock, "NeGcon Rumble" controller type (calibrated in-game). VERY extensive settings below!
I mostly only list settings that deviate from the defaults, so here's two tips: Press Space, or Start on your controller to reset a setting to default in RetroArch. Pressing and holding the shoulder buttons lets you skip up/down a list by 10 entries. This is useful for skipping through long lists of cheats for unrelated games like you'll need to do here.

and enable "60 FPS (1.1)".
The other regional versions of GT1 have their own respective DuckStation cheats in the "cheats\Sony - PlayStation" directory; same goes for GT2.
