Momotaro Densetsu is a Japanese role-playing game from Hudson Soft with a story based on the folklore tale about an elderly couple discovering a baby boy in a peach. The Playstation version is a remake of the first two Momotaro Densetsu games which appeared on the Famicom and PC-Engine in 1987 and 1990 respectively. Owing to its 8-bit roots and the obvious Dragon Quest influence, Momotaro Densetsu for the Playstation is a very orthodox RPG devoid of much of the spectacle and complex gameplay systems found in its contemporaries with an encounter rate so high that it will test the patience of even the most hardened of RPG veterans.
