Suzu Monogatari is a quirky role-playing/card battle game from Capcom that puts you in the shoes of a boy Suzumaru(Son of God) who sets out on a quest to recover the five divine bells. The gameplay largely consists of exploring the locations and challenging people to a card battle with a few distractions in the form of fishing and digging stuff out of the ground. Suzu Monogatari combines feudal Japanese setting with technologies from the modern age resulting in a unique world where the samurai practice in their dojos next to the farmers toiling on the fields in tractors.

The music score for Suzu Monogatari is provided by Akari Aida who would later compose several tracks for the Okami soundtrack while the game's director, Kuniomi Matsushita, would helm the development of Okami's sequel for the DS - Okamiden. The producer is none other than Shinji Mikami of Resident Evil fame.
