Checking out the "Single All" mode in the "NEOGEO" version of The King of Fighters '99 that's included in The King of Fighters NESTS Collection on Japanese PS2.
Using Ralf here, and playing very clumsily because you can't remap the buttons in the "NEOGEO" versions of the KOF games in NESTS Collection, which can make things awkward if your button arrangement isn't suited to the default assignments--mine were all scrambled. : PP
Anyway I really just wanted to compare the graphical flashiness of this version to the main, "Dreamcast" version in NESTS (see the previous video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2teGmDvAI38&t=695s ): this NEOGEO version is slightly more flashy, for instance the lightning effects in the museum stage (0:40) are much brighter, black screen flashes during striker attacks are fully opaque rather than slightly transparent, and I think the screen always goes white at the end of a match. aside from a timeout maybe, regardless of whether a regular or special attack ended it.
On the plus side, there is less of a time delay between matches in this version--maybe because it doesn't have to load 3D backgrounds like the "Dreamcast" version does. And the graphics are less blurry!
