(PS2EMU) Twisted Metal: Black speedrun fun (The Big Bad Minion)
5With the magnificent efforts of @vitaawl, the boss version of Minion is now playable (and also selectable as an enemy in more levels in Challenge & Endurance Mode besides Minion Stadium). That means being big and armed with the 4-panel shield. You're effectively invulnerable to all forms of damage aside from fire damage (the only thing that goes through the Minion shield) as long as you have shield panels in-tact. On the other hand, the boss version of Minion is only coded with the proper interaction/collision detection on Minion's Stadium. In all the other levels, boss Minion cannot pick up any items off the ground; he also will clip through various objects and sloped surfaces (Skyscrapers can be painful as boss Minion cannot cross the construction bridge and billboard ramps for instance). You pretty much will need to play with Infinite Weapons out of necessity when using boss Minion outside of Minion's Stadium. There's also some interactions with Minion's shield that may cause a game crash (at least one is having the ENV weapon in Snowy Roads hit Minion's shield) The novelty of playing as boss Minion is still too good to pass up, so I did a speedrun on all 3 difficulties with him while using Infinite Weapons and 2 emulator-enabled cheats (Infinite Turbo since I don't use the God Mode cheat code, and no overheating Machine Guns).
