PS4 Dynamic Theme: Chilean Waterfall
2The year was 2014.. or 2015'ish... and I had just gotten a PS4. I was working at GameStop at the time, and launched both Xbox One and PS4 during my time with the company. I got the Xbox One at launch, but had to wait months for the PS4. Eventually, a brand new console came in as a trade-in, and I made sure I boxed that baby up and brought her home. The prior year, 2013, I had just finished touring a bilingual Shakespeare play to two cities in Chile; an experience I wish I could relive over and over. I discovered this #DynamicTheme in the #PlaystationStore, and though I never saw this waterfall during my time in Chile, I find it quite calming as its pleasantness reminds me of my time down there. I wouldn't turn on my PS4 nearly as much as I did my Xbox One during this generation, but whenever I did, this theme would humbly remind me of my humanity. My friends and costars made sure to expose me to as much of their culture as possible during our tour. Memories flood my mind the moment that this dash would load. I found myself falling asleep to the looping of this song during every game update I had to install. 10 years have passed, and it still remains my dynamic theme of my #Spiderman limited edition #PS4. I miss all my friends down in South America and think about them often. We have all gotten so much older, and most of us have gotten married. It truly is incredible how fast time moves when you're having fun. One day I wish to visit the wonderful land of Chile again and reconnect with my friends, but until then, I find myself coming right back to this dashboard. I uploaded a 4k hour of it in hopes that it could serve someone else out there who has had a similar connection or appreciation for it.
