PS4 Offers Special Privileges to Gamers on Certain ISPs?
During Sony's Gamescom presentation, more than a few eyebrows were raised when they announced that PS4 gamers on certain European ISPs would get a "range of broadband packages" and "reserved parts of the pipe for gaming." But what does that mean?
It seems there will be some sort of prioritization (no alleged throttling) for people who buy into a gaming package of sorts with their ISP. Will this be bad news for people who don't opt in? Will the idea transcend to the United States and other areas? What does this mean to smaller ISPs? Kim Horcher and Tim Frisch discuss.
