PS4 Quick Look | Knack (2013) the first PS4 game
1The first PS4 game ... build on a incoherent plot , good game design and a cute world ... from the maker of Crash Bandicoot and the architect of PS4 - Mark Cerny
So lets talk about it , its the longest PS4 game to date (in this genre)... 14h long ... but...well , 35% of if is locked ... when the most basic game mechanics, are locked if you will not find the right artifact ... (and those are random) so brace your anus for new game plus (if you care... the story is so incoherent, that even if its fun to play ... the story gaps in it, are so big ...you just shake your head ... Who are the parents of Lucas {i calling it , its the assistant of the doctor that was saved by the trolls to build tanks} , why your uncle was in Love with the evil assistant etc... ) ....OR you GRIND YOUR WAY BY using a companion APP ON YOUR PHONE ... yeah you read it right , you have to play the companion app to unlock the 35% of the game (is not needed to finish the game , but what if i would tell you that your basic abilities are locked by this app , you would just rage hard)
Another thing that irked me , you cannot BLOCK... only roll like in God Of War ... why???
They did not explain what are those white Knack markings that you find in some places ...
Simple put, you can see they developed this game as a graphical capabilities PS4 demo , with big maps ... and the story was added later ....that glued this mess together...
In other words...It yet another of those OK games, similar to Assassin Creed 4 Black Flag , that has awesome game design , graphics and game world ... but the story is a incoherent mess ... but you still play ON TO SEE IF ITS NOT ... haha
