Today Sony announced that new updates would be coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 user interfaces. Great! New social features and implementation into the cell phone app are always welcome.

Then, they go off and TEASE Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) . . . something that has been promised, but has yet to be delivered. Unfortunate for Sony Ponies (myself included), this technology already exists on the Microsoft Series X console, as well as gaming PCs (via GSYNC or FREESYNC). Sony is behind the times, but, hopefully, catching up soon . . . let's discuss.
