Sony has finally revealed their official price point and launch dates for the PlayStation 5. During what can be considered Sony's last PlayStation 5 showcase marketing push before the system's launch, Sony made it a point to celebrate what seems to be the most near to launch games to adorn the PS5 within the system's first year launch window.

While we will touch on the games on showcase, getting the most important aspect of the PlayStation 5 launch out of the way, Sony eventually revealed that their next-generation will cost $499 for the standard PS5 and $399 for the digital edition model, you know, the one without the disc drive. Other than that both system are identical. In addition, PlayStation fans eager to get their hands on the system can expect to do so on November 12, if you live in the US, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South America. If you happen to live anywhere else your PlayStation 5 will available as early as November 19th.

So, technically the Xbox Series X and S will be launching two days before the PS5 in the aforementioned regions and as early as nine days in the rest of the world.
