Joel and Ellie had become respected members of the town. They had made new friends and even found a sense of family among their fellow survivors.
For a time, it seemed that life had finally settled into a peaceful rhythm. Joel and Ellie had left behind the violence and heartbreak that had defined their past, and had found a new sense of purpose and hope.
But even in this idyllic world, the memory of the past could never truly be escaped.
