Psalm 1 shows us a contrast between two paths: that of the righteous and that of the wicked. The righteous is compared to a tree planted by streams of water: firm, with deep roots, bearing fruit in season and never withering. This strength comes from delighting in the Word of God and meditating on it day and night. In contrast, the wicked are like dry, light, rootless chaff, blown aimlessly by the wind. The message is clear: our stability, fruitfulness, and prosperity do not depend on external circumstances, but on our relationship with God. Those who walk in His Word remain and prosper; those who ignore it are lost.
