Last month was the 15th anniversary of the North American launch of the PSP. The originally unaired pilot episode of On Tap was all about the PSP launch and our immediate thoughts after our first several days with the system. This was back when On Tap was unnamed and being recorded for a website Chris and I use to write for called VGpub. We did not upload it to the site after sending it to the original editors and we got feedback that it was too long at 50 minutes. This was recorded a few months before 'podcasts' officially launched on iTunes in mid-2005. It was about 10 months after this recording we saw how podcasts took off at all varying degrees of showtime that we gave podcasts another go in early 2006. When we launched the official On Tap website a couple years later we officially released this lost 'pilot' episode.

Apologies for the ancient audio quality. We had no idea what we were doing and this was recorded on one of those stereotypical psychiatrist tape recorders that would be seen in a movie be lying stationary on a coffee table. We were figuring this out as we went along and this was a fun time capsule at how new we were all to this! Hope you all enjoy, here are the original show notes....

Ep #0 - 3-2005 - "Lost/Pilot" PSP launch episode. Dale & Joey Kulas, along with Chris Harpster assess the PSP's recent launch. The method for recording this show was so archaic it resulted in some of the worst audio quality known to man. The odds of this show being released to the public in the future are extremely slim, actually, what the hell, to celebrate the launch of ontappodcast.com you can now download this lost "treasure."
