PSYQAUR: Only footage of my unreleased fifth game
This is the only playable scene that ever existed (to date) of my fifth video game, PSYQAUR (pronounced 'sigh-core'). The name came to me in a dream, written out just like that with that unlikely spelling. I have an outline of the whole game, how it would work and what would happen, but it will probably never get made since GameSalad now requires a paid subscription and I've closed my Apple Dev membership. Yep. Some notes about what you're seeing:
- The sprite is a placeholder, not what the final character would look like
- The character only animates while moving right, and is missing a couple of frames
- The doors on the left and right have no collision detection but would do in the final game
- The colour palette is intended to resemble that of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum
- The character should be carrying a torch and the colour should flicker yellow/orange
- The title screen is a placeholder
