Pub Quiz - Pub Quiz Game by Games Warehouse
3In the UK, we have a lot of pubs and bars! In the 90s and early 2000s (before phones had good internet), many of these places would have pub quiz machines.\nSince phones got better internet, these types of machines were slowly phased out (As its way easier to cheat). Sadly, they were replaced mostly by gambling software (The same machines, but with slot machine software). So now, no knowledge is really required.\n\nOn these types of quiz games, you could test your knowledge and potentially win money! If the machines are not paying out, then it'll give you very hard questions towards the end. That is normal.\nThe longer a win is not detected, the easier it is to win. So you would wait for people to have a drunken session on it, lose all their money, then come along, as sober as a priest, and get some big wins. This would usually happen at night time, as that's when drunk people tend to play. When I finished a run, or meeting with friends, I would pop into the pubs and do this as I was heading home.\n\nPub Quiz was a pretty good game. It's 50p per play and getting £1 is usually quite easy.\n\nIn this video, you can see the game was clearly not paying out as it was daytime and the machine looked like it didn't have much playtime today.
