The world’s second most popular Twitch streamer based on followers has been one of the few high profile names to stay away from the Fortnite craze, and he was rewarded for that when weapon skins featuring his logo were implemented into the game.
Despite his affiliation with the game, the PUBG devs still hit him with the ban hammer on Monday July 10 after he streamed himself the previous day getting in a car with a hacker.
The clip went viral after Shroud was seen approaching the car that had been flying around, before getting in as the hacker transported the group across the map.
Shroud confirmed in a stream that he had made a mistake and has had his account banned from PUBG for a month.
“I was trying to have a good time. Obviously I knew what the fuck I was doing. Which wasn’t a great idea. It seemed like a great idea, but it wasn’t a great idea.
So I’m sorry to those peeps that are really upset with me with all the flying around with the cheater and stuff, but, [raises hands in the hair].”
“I got banned for a month. So I’m sorry for those of you guys that were really upset. Ok?
I was just trying to have some fun, and I knew exactly what I was doing, making a mistake. I could still play PUBG, I just can’t play on my account.”
