​Loot boxes are gambling and are illegal in Belgium, according to the Belgian Gaming Commission. The investigation was launched after EA’s Star Wars Battlefront II fiasco, but ironically, of the games they looked at, DICE’s Battlefront was the only game the investigators said was ok.
