Reserve units from across Greater London gathered at Horse Guards Parade on Saturday to showcase their military skills to the public and to potential recruits.

It is part of a recruitment drive to boost the number of reservists from 11,000 to 30,000 over the next few years.

But the campaign has got off to a slow start raising concerns that the target is not achievable.
