A group of forces children could soon be topping the charts performing this year's Poppy Appeal single. After a nationwide talent search involving the Royal British Legion and Decca Records, the lucky five - whose fathers all serve in the Armed Forces - have become The Poppy Girls.

They are now preparing to perform the song - "The Call (No Need To Say Goodbye)" - at this year's Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in front of The Queen.
