Puzzle & Action Ichidant-R (イチダントアール) - Final mini-game and Ending (Game Gear Ver.)
Here's the final mini-game and ending for the Game Gear version of Ichidant-R.
This version of the game has even more differences to the original than the Tant-R Game Gear port. For one, there are a lot less mini-games (to the point where the ending sequence only shows one mini-game at a time instead of two when showing how many times you played each mini-game), with four of them being exclusive to this version. Not only that, but Arcade Mode's progression and flow is very different from the other versions, as it has the same three enemies each time, with the first requiring one mini-game, the second requiring two, and the third requiring three. Stages can also be done in any order. This makes the Game Gear version a lot shorter than its contemporaries.
The final mini-game is also different as well. Before fighting Boss-Adder, he lights a fuse connected to a bunch of dynamite. You then need to navigate a maze to cut the fuse before a minute passes. However, most of the rooms have traps which force you to play a single round of a randomly-selected mini-game. The timer doesn't stop during the mini-games, so you need to quickly finish them and move on.
After cutting the fuse, you'll fight Boss-Adder himself, whose fight is similar to the other versions, but with a time limit of 35 seconds instead of 20.
The ending sequence has also predictably been changed. Along the way, you'll meet the player 2 knight from the other versions, who poses triumphantly with the player 1 knight. There is also no "Total Tasks Completed" counter. Lastly, the cast roll has been removed and replaced with a credits sequence where the knight and princess happily hold hands and kiss before waving you goodbye. It then ends with a "THANK YOU FOR PLAYING" screen like the first game. And like that game's PS2 remake, there isn't any name entry screen in this port.
