Puzzle Bubble in "Bubble Buster" mode [Taito B-System]
"I hate that RNG."
This is what happens when you change the region of the B-System to "World" in the Japanese version of Puzzle Bobble.
For all intents and purposes, this is an old video from before an original prototype version of Bubble Buster was found. Said version has the correct sound ROMs, but not this one (read below for more info).
===FUN TRIVIA BELOW===
Note that the proper music is missing from this version (much like Puzzle Bubble 2 doesn't have Bust-a-Move Again music and vice versa). The Neo Geo one has it, and that, along with everything else shown in the video, is hidden behind a Debug Dip Switch (2-3 to be exact). That dipswitch is referred to in-game as "2-3 Arkanoid Type Game" for whatever reason.
If you're wondering, some of the missing songs and sound effects would be reused in Bust-a-Move Again.
That, and the ending is simply the Congratulations screen. No credits.
Also, if you read the copyright text you will notice this is using the World regional setting (Taito Corporation Japan). Apparently how the game looks in the video is what was supposed to be played everywhere but in Japan (except with proper music, you know). When the Arcade Neo Geo port came out and the game got released outside Japan, this wasn't the case anymore. In that version, even though the US got the Bust-a-Move title screen, the actual game is the same as the Japanese one. The World version is named Puzzle Bobble on that as well rather than Bust-a-Move.
