Hello and Welcome back to Pwnery's Penny Arcade and the Last 30 of Vagante - a dungeon platformer that has a more combative feel and more liquid smooth playstyle similar in feel to Starbound at least in my estimation. It's been around for a few years, but underwent some updates recently that really helped flesh out the game into something far more polished than previously released.

This is a short 2-part series due to the nature of how the maps are randomly generated and ... well, honestly, I'm not very good at it so I'd would literally be showing you the same 3 or 4 levels randomly selected which doesn't make for great viewing over a long series. Today we pick up and try again... and again, and again. Originally I had recorded 3 episodes for this title, however the original episode 2 and 3 captured frozen and I had to take a few days off and start over to what you see here.

The official skinny is : Vagante is an adventure set in a dark fantasy world filled with monsters, demons, and crooks. Despite these dangers, adventurers commonly travel these unforgiving lands questing for fame, riches, and power.

A recent rumor has it that a certain cave at the edge of the woods guards an unfathomable treasure. While a handful of intrepid adventurers have ventured into the cave already, none have returned. Undeterred by the potential danger, you set out by caravan to investigate...

It's dark, it's challenging, it's frustrating, it's permadeath - it's full of unique loot and monsters that are real pains in your backside - especially when they can grab you and *throw* you into spikes to your premature end.
