After being absent for almost three months, the Challenge Series continues. I apologize for not uploading for a little while; lack of motivation to create anything has become a real pain for me. I've also been busy in real life as well, so thanks to these two factors, I haven't been able to work on creating videos like I used to. I took a bit of a break from working on videos to focus on some of my other hobbies, and after a decently long break, I feel motivated once again.

[Rainy Mansion L]

Remember Hot Sand Ruin L's challenge run? This is kind of like that, but with more corners. Since you really don't have too much power to work with (3100 at the most with the Devil Meter equipped), just focus on taking corners as best as you can. Positions should come naturally since the AI is terrible at navigating Rainy Mansion, but if they don't, then your best chance to make up time is in the room with the large hole in the floor and the graveyard. If you take the lines and shortcuts that I use in the graveyard (the second shortcut is especially good), you should have no problems destroying the AI.

It wouldn't be HG3 if people didn't underestimate the power of the Side Jet, and this challenge proves that. This is probably one of the easiest challenges you can complete in HG3. If you've never used the Side Jet before, this is a great way to practice using it for races or time attack. Much like Rainy Mansion L (and like a lot of other tracks in HG3 for that matter), the AI screws up frequently and consistently on Two Tone Factory M.

If you couldn't figure it out already, all you have to do is simply wait for the AI to choke (which conveniently always happens twice right after the section with the electric beams), then use that opportunity to pass. Even though it's obvious, don't forget to use your Side Jet during this race; the amount of fuel you're given is more than enough for this track, and high cornering speeds during both laps are important to gaining a comfortable lead.
Difficulty: Easy (Could be a Medium if you're unfamiliar with the track or are new to using the Side Jet)

Hoo boy, talk about a real difficulty spike here. Going from the previous two challenges to this one was a real wake-up call. I think in total, it took me close to 20 attempts to beat this one. If you don't have much experience with the Hovercraft, then I highly recommend you practice with it beforehand; either out in the open world or in a race. While this challenge may be hard, it's not impossible.

First thing's first, the only way you're going to win is by blocking Meen for as long as possible. Doing this challenge cleanly is just out of the question. Second thing is that Jungle Beat M is one of the few tracks in HG3 where the AI actually drives pretty well, so waiting for them to make a mistake isn't viable. The only time they'll consistently screw up is during the sharp curve after the river, but they'll only lose a couple of seconds at the most and it only happens twice per race. Considering we only have two laps to work with, it's just not enough.

With both of those things out of the way, let's talk about actual strategy. Prioritize blocking Meen over everything else when you're in 1st; if you have to pick between a slightly faster line or blocking Meen, opt for the safer option and block. The AI doesn't really care if you're in their way or not, so be very careful when blocking during a turn. Thanks to the Hovercraft lacking grip, it's easy to get pushed off the track and into a wall. If you're able to have a good first lap, then Lap 2 shouldn't be too bad. Be mindful of Meen on Lap 2, though. She can still easily catch and pass you if you're not paying attention.

If you're able to finish this race in 1st, then give yourself a pat on the back. You've definitely earned it after enduring one of HG3's toughest challenges.
